I was talking to Andy this morning about tomorrow and I said, "tomorrow is going to be the biggest day of my life so far."

The baby looks good on you!

The biggest moment of my life was walking down the aisle to my husband... until I finished the marathon. :)

I'm sure there will be others as the years go on.

What a cute little guy - and I love the name Hudson!!

My biggest life moment would have to be finishing Boston. Maybe walking down the aisle will top it? Guess it depends on the guy. ;-)

My two biggest moments in my life 1) seeing Morgan for the first time and 2) when Matt and I stood in a small little court room in Kazakhstan and were legally Morgan's parents (the proceedings were all spoken in Russian so we had to wait for the translator to finally tell us.)

Hey, you don't look too nervous holding a baby. When I get some infants foisted into my arms, I always have an awkward, "Uh oh, I think I'm going to drop it!" face.

Hmm...my biggest moment? Wow, I dunno. Maybe I'll get back to you on that one, haha.

I've had a lot of "big" moments in my life, but sitting here thinking, I can't really find one that was "the biggest" so far... there were big moments that changed my life like moving to college, leaving my college bf and living on my own, changing jobs.. and big moments that made me proud like the half marathon in 2008, the relay race, hitting my weight loss goal... but I really don't think any of them were the biggest...

Maybe when I finish the marathon in October I'll have my biggest moment. :) Then IF by chance I ever get married I can have my second biggest. ;)

no doubt the days my sons were born. Maybe more so my second (is that bad to say?) because I was so aware of what was going on and what a beautiful moment it was. The first one I was in a daze out of exhaustion and something the doctors gave me, LOL! Either way, those were the best days and they changed my life forever!!

adorable pic! gotta say when Nick was born!

Great photograph! There's more than one 'biggest moment' in one's life. Definitely up there in mine was graduating from college, getting married, the birth of our two boys, finishing my first marathon, and first ever & so far one and only BQ.

i also think lots of biggest moments... for me, brain surgery, the day my son was born, i'm sure there will be more.

Nicole said...

I gotta say it was the birth of my children. Now, I haven't ran my marathon yet....but I'm hoping running would never over shadow bringing precious life into this world. Guess I'll find out in October! ;-)

That is a really tough question - I don't know if I could answer that! :)

But - you and Hudson - too darn cute!

yikes... i don't think i've had it yet! one of my happiest days though was my sister's wedding :) after i stopped freaking out about giving a speech, lol.

I have had many noteworthy accomplishments where I was really proud or happy - but few were moments, but rather something I worked at for quite some time (getting married, staying married ;), quitting smoking, losing weight, exercising, runing, etc.).

I think that it's all those things that make me proud of myself, but no single moments stick out.

the gazelle said...

I wouldn't say there was a single moment. I've had some great memorable moments -

getting married, losing lots o' weight, buying a house, finishing my first race, getting accepted into grad school

I can't wait to add finishing a marathon to that list!

My wedding day! BEST. FEELING. EVER. !!!! I think when we have kids it will be equally as big, but that's far off...

Hudson is adorable, looks so natural for you!

ShutUpandRun said...

Big moments = birth of my kids and finishing my first marathon.

For me there are lots of them because I can't rank any of to be the paramount moment. I also think they have various degrees. There are the obvious ones...for me they were getting married, birthin' all three of the babes, graduating college, finishing a marathon....

Then there are the little things that had HUGE impacts. For me it was a phone call I received out of the blue to be a wedding photographer assistant which spiraled into a second career.

Great question.

Great photo!

I would have to say buying my first house was the biggest moment, I truly felt like a "grown up".

Marrying my husband would be a distant second, we'd already been together for 7 years (living together for 5+) so it felt like a mere formality (although the day/trip was so special, we got married in Maui).

Biggest life moment...finishing the Great White North Half Iron was a pretty amazing one! Getting a raise to a 6 figure salary was a good one too, on a non-athletic related note.

You look good holding Hudson! So sweet!
Hmmm, I think that the day I got married is the biggest day of my life so far, and a close second is me finishing my first marathon. But I am sure as life takes it's twists and turns, that list will get bigger and I am convinced that the "one" thing is actually a bunch of "ones" that life throws at us...

So far, if we're talking good moments, my wedding day was a pretty big day. So was the day I passed my thesis for my Master's Degree. :)

Biggest moment was definitely when Conal was born. By far and away the biggest and best day ever.

Have a great weekend!!

Hahah- I felt the same way when I held my sisters baby- whoaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

So far, the biggest moment in my life was def my wedding day. I'm sure someday it will be when we have a baby...

The most defining time in my life was when I went to study in Japan while in college. I went over there totally alone and even though I was on the verge of homesick tears for the first 10 days, I ended up loving it and learned so much about how strong I really was.

definitely getting married :) best day ever! marathon comes in very close after that.

Qualifying for Boston, Running Boston and getting into Grad school...in that order!

Apparently I have a lot of life left to live! I'm thinking my moments of greatness are actually weird little pockets of contentment. . .I have certain memories that cannot be spoiled by anything in life. I've been lucky in that regard.
