Miami V KC

Let’s start with this….I am compiling everyone’s names on to a Google Doc for the Holiday Bootie Buster Challenge!! Very exciting, I hope our numbers keep growing because it is a grand time. I’m thinking about partnering people up as well for a little added motivation. What I will need is for you to send me your EMAIL ADDRESS if you have not already, so that I can share the spreadsheet with you. amandacbrooks at yahoo.

Also I must admit that Friday’s pet peeve question really brought you out…you must have had some steam to blow off! Hope you took that out in your long runs and races this weekend. Myself…this weekend was 22 miles.

Let’s take a look at Miami versus KC…the long run:
Last Weekend: Miami
Temp: 74 degrees
Humidity: Ridiculous
Distance: 20 miles
Terrain: Pancake flat
View: AMAZING
Runners seen: Hundreds
Pace: Avg 10:10
Water: 3 full bottles
Feel: Sore afterwards

This weekend: Kansas City
Temp: 50 degrees
Humidity: Light drizzle
Distance: 22 miles
Terrain: Hills galore
View: Errr..house…house…house
Runners seen: ME
Pace: Avg 10:05
Water: Less than 1/2 bottle
Feel: Tired but great

So while the temp was amazing for my run and I felt amazing…it was kinda boring! In fairness, I could have just been excited because I was going to be seeing so many friends that day…so maybe that made the run better. Who knows!!

I know this is short and lacking pictures, but I stayed away all weekend from the computer so I could fully enjoy every friend I could find! I am now slammed at work and getting ready for this work trip to Vegas. No fears though… I’ll be getting in a better post tomorrow.

what is your most favorite place ever to run? or your "rave run" as RW calls it? :) i always think about that to myself when i see each month's version... what would mine be? i never run anywhere truly spectacular, so maybe i should do that! :)

you definitely should be glad you moved down south for the winter -- I am dying here with this New England chilliness!

I agree why I want out of KC I NEVER see another runner! Plus I could do snow, but this rain is miserable and the view was a factory for my long run ;) But it does have some good points the Plaza, O Park I guess, but it's just not a running town. :)

Let me know if you need my email address I think you have it?

Nothing like a run some where new to make you appreciate things about where you are!

and my email is runninglaur at gmail.com. And I think that buddies could be a good idea (you should make mine Alisa - we'd be perfect motivation for each other!).
